IBD patients’ perception about the effect of regular coffee consumption on their intestinal symptoms. Significantly more patients with CD think that coffee has an overall impact on their bowel disease, compared to UC patients as depicted by brackets combining patients attributing a positive and a negative effect. Among UC patients, the majority (about three quarters of patients) do not think that coffee has any influence at all on their symptoms. Uniformly among all IBD subtypes, if an impact of coffee on disease symptoms is attributed by patients, only a small minority of patients experience a positive influence
