Note: For the present study, cross-sectional data from a larger longitudinal study UDAY are presented. A flow diagram of participants in this longitudinal study has been published elsewhere (Mohan, Set al. 2018). There was no exclusion of the participants. All 9005 participants responded and were included in the study. Socio-demographic, dietary and food security data are available for all the participants based on which the results are presented. BMI data was available for 8718 participants
