The forest plot of whole grains intake and esophagus risk. As shown in Fig. 5, six studies were included in the analysis of whole grains intake and esophagus cancer risk. The result showed that whole grains consumption reduced the risk of esophagus cancer by 47% (RR = 0.54, 95% CI: 0.44–0.67, P < 0.001) with no heterogeneity (I2 = 27.7%, P = 0.217)
